To
all of you who participated in the alternative version
of "shock and awe" in that Oregon wheat field near the start of the Iraq War . . .Bless You! For a short time, 100 of
us (I was sort of in there with you) snuggled in the cold
and windy, muddy, grassy wetness, embodied as the Chinese
character for Peace, to B E C O M E, as Gandhi said, "the
change we wish to see in the world." It was
a beautiful afternoon that will long be remembered by all present.
